New features on SupremeCourtCaselaw.com :

General Search - Search can be made using any keyword, phrase etc. The search will search that keyword for all criteria.

Advanced Search - There are 11 types of searches through which a judgment can be extracted from the database.

Search by :

Appellant/Petitioner - name of appellant/petitioner will search the database in the appellant/petitioner field.
Respondent - name of Respondent will search the database in the respondent field.
Date of decision - the date on which the decision is made will search the database in the date field.
Subject Index - the subject, statute, section, topic etc. can be keyed in to search the database in the subject index field.
Appeared lawyer(s) - the judgments can also be searched by the name of the lawyers who appeared in the case.
Judge(s) - the judgments can be searched by the name of the Hon'ble Judge(s) who delivered the judgment.
Case no. - search can be made by keying the case no. of the judgment/order for eg. Civil Appeal No.1234 of 2001
Our Citation - Every judgment on SupremeCourtCaselaw.com now has a unique citation and a search can be made using the SCCL.COM citation for e.g. 2001 SCCL.COM 300
Other Citation - Citations of journals like AIR, SCC and JT have also been included as comparative citations and a case can be searched on the site using the citations of these journals in this field.
Full Body Search - There may be a need to search the full body of the judgments for some keywords which may not appear in the subject index field. However it is recommended that this search be used in association with other searches otherwise it would be too heavy a search and may result into wasting precious time online.
Duration search - This search will help culling out the judgments/cases of a particular period say for the judgments of November 2000 the user may feed in the duration search field from 1st November, 2000 to 30th November, 2000 and a list of judgments during this period can be extracted.

Multiple search facility - Please note that in the Advanced Search the searches can be made using any one, many or all searches to reach the required case.

Also please note that at present SupremeCourtCaselaw.com database contains judgments from July, 2000 onwards till date.
