Born on 22nd June 1955. Enrolled as Lawyer in June 1979 after completing his education and started practice in High Court, Bombay. Appeared in Civil, Criminal & Constitutional Law Cases. Worked as Assistant Govt.Pleader from 1988 to 1990 Writ Cell, High Court. From 1986 to 1989 was Panel Counsel for Union of India. From 1992 to 2000 'A' Panel Counsel for State of Maharashtra. Appeared in Public Interest Litigation, Election Petitions, Specialization in Writ Law. Appeared in cases arising out of number of Acts. Vice President of the Bar Association in 1989-90. During 1988-90 Member Managing Committee of Asiatic Library. Also was lecturer (Part-Time) Morning College in New Law College, Matunga from 1985 to 1991. During 1992 to1995 - Visiting Professor, Department of Law, University of Bombay, teaching LL.M. Students in the subject of Public International Law.

Invited for giving lectures at various seminars-1. for  3 years by UNICEF at Maharashtra Labour Institute, Bombay on "Child Labour". 2. Bar Council of Maharashtra, Junior Lawyers Lecture Seriesfor 3 years. 3. Pratibhavishkar Women's Organisation on Women's Rights. 4.Stri Hitakarini -Divorce and Reconciliation etc.

Also participated in T.V.Shows "Kortachi Payari" etc. from 1998 to 2000.  Written Articles in number of Journals and Law Magazines. Participated in various Sports, Tournaments- Badminton, Table- Tennis, Football, Cricket, Bridge, Chess. Special Interest in Indology (Vedas, Upanishad, Yoga). On 12th October, 2001 elevated as High Court Judge.
