Hon'ble Mr. Justice Vikramaditya Prasad
Born on 6th October,1942. Son of Late Rameshwar Prasad. Great
Grand-father late (Raishaheb) Munshi Pyare Lal taught Oriental language to the
Hon'ble Judge including the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court who came from
Britain. Did his matriculation from Rajendra Shree Krishna Vidyalaya, Haveli
Kharagpur, Munger. Obtained B.Sc. Degree from St. Columba's College,
Hazaribagh. Worked as a Demonstrator in Department of Chemistry in B.N. College,
Patna for some years and passed B.L. examination from Patna University standing
first in the first class. Joined Bihar Judicial Service in 1974. Worked in
various capasities from Munsif to District Judge. Worked as Joint Secretary
Mines in Department of Mines and Geology, Govt. of Bihar.Had occasion to monitor
Mining cases pending in the various courts including the Apex Court. Helped the
Government in amending the Cess Act and also Minor Mineral Concession Rules. Was
also associated with famous Cess cases in which the State has got a great
financial stake. Was specially deputed to disposed of Riot cases of
Bhagalpur. Also worked as Registrar (Vigilance), Registrar (Establilshment),
Registrar (Administration) of Patna High Court.Was the first Registrar General
of Jharkhand High Court. Was also District and Sessions Judge Hazaribagh. Was
also elected Secretary of Bihar Judicial Service Association. And also was
elected as one of the General Secretaries of All India Judges Association. Was
founder Chairman of Bal Siksha, a voluntary organisation known for its
activities in the field of Juvenile Justice. Was elevated a Judge of Jharkhand
High Court on 28.01.2002.Have also written short stories in English and Hindi. A
collection of sort stories in Hindi "EK JATAYV AUR" has already been
published and several stories were broadcast from All India Radio. One
collection of short stories in English ready for publication and a novel
"IN SEARCH OF NOTHING" is also partly complete and also have published
a book on Children's Act in 1982. -----------------------
