Born on 12th August,1942 at village Latha Toli, within the District of Gumla. Started schooling in Upper Primary School Saso. Passed Matriculation examination from Lutharan High School, Gumla in year 1958. Graduated in year 1965 from St. Xavier's College, Ranchi. Did B.L. from Chotanagpur Law College Ranchi in the year 1965. Joined Bihar Judicial Service in year 1972. Served in different capacity . Held the post of Legal Advisor cum Under Secretary Bihar State Housing Board, Patna. Appointed as District and Sessions Judge in year 1996 and was posted at Sitamarhi thereafter at Dumka and Jamshedpur, East Singhbhum. On 28.01.2002 was elevated as a Judge of Jharkhand High Court. Has the privilege of being the first High Court judge from Schedule tribe in the State of Jharkhand & State of Bihar.
