Hon'ble Mr. Justice K. Balakrishnan Nair

Born on 12.04.1948.
Educated at L.P.G. School, Trikalathoor; N.S.S. U.P. School, Mannoor; St. Thomas High School, Keezhillam; Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha and Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram.
Enrolled as Advocate on 9.11.1975. Practised at the Civil and Criminal Courts at Muvattupuzha as junior to Sri. V.A. Joy. Shifted practice to Ernakulam in 1978 as associate of Justice K.A. Abdul Gafoor and Mr. K.A. Abraham. Later, practised as junior to late Mr. Justice V. Sivaraman Nair and late Mr. V.M. Nayanar, Director of Public Prosecutions. In 1988 started independent practice in Civil, Criminal, Labour and Constitutional matters before the High Court. Worked as the Standing Counsel for Kerala Agricultural University; Ernakulam and Kollam District Co-operative Banks; Kochi Corporation and Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Board.
Appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Kerala on 07.09.2001.
Due to retire on 11.04.2010.
