Hon'ble Mr. Justice J.B. Koshy

Shri. Jacob Benjamin Koshy was born on 13-5-1947 to Mr. Koshy who was then Principal of the Brickfield Higher Secondary School in Malaysia. His lordship belongs to a respectable family in Arattupuzha (Aranmula). He graduated from the Mar Ivanios College, Trivandrum and later took his Law Degree from the Ernakulam Law College, and also obtained LL.M Degree from the same College in 1968 . He enrolled and started practice with Senior Counsel Mr. K.C. John. Later, he joined M/s. Menon & Pai, a lawyer firm of great standing, who have by now contributed no less than 11 Judges to the Kerala High Court from time to time. Soon he became a partner of the firm. He has been specialising in Labour and Taxation Laws and made his mark as an outstanding lawyer and has represented institutions like F.A.C.T, Cochin Refineries , Indian Rare Earths, and other public sector undertakings like Tata Tea Ltd, Hindustan Lever Limited , Grasim Industries and other major private second undertakings. His lordship was also the reporter of All India Reporter (AIR), the oldest law reporting magazine of India .
His lordship is in charge of Thalassery District, subordinate judiciary.
