Hon'ble Mr. Justice D.S.R. Varma
Honble Sri Justice D.S.R. Varma was born on 5th September
1949 at Narsapur in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh, India.
Justice Dantuluri Srinivasa Ranganadha Varma is the son of Late
Sri D. Jagapathi Raju, an Advocate.
His mother was a Hindi Teacher in Mission High School, Narsapur.
Obtained degree of Bachelor of Arts from Sri Y.N. College,
Narsapur and Bachelor of Laws from the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
Enrolled as an Advocate on August 20, 1974 and initially joined
his fathers office at Narsapur.
Later on, shifted his practice to the High Court of Andhra
Pradesh from June, 1975 and joined the Chambers of Sri Krovidi
Narasimham, a leading Lawyer. Specialised
in Labour Laws, Co-operative Laws and gained sufficient experience in
Civil as well as Criminal matters.
Nominated as a Panel Advocate for State Bank of Hyderabad and
represented Insurance Companies selectively.
Appointed as Standing Counsel for A.P.S.R.T.C. during the
year 1992-93 and also the Standing Counsel for Central Silk Board, a
Central Government undertaking. Appointed as Government Pleader
representing Revenue Department in A.P. administrative Tribunal in the
month of January, 1996 and continued as such till he was transferred and
appointed as Government Pleader in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and
was dealing with matters pertaining to Land Grabbing and Land
Assignment. Appointed as
Additional Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh on May 17, 1999 and as
Judge w.e.f.20.4.2000.
