Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.K. Goel

Born on 15th October, 1943. Graduated and obtained his L.L. B. Degree from Punjab University. Started practice in March, 1969 at Sub Divisional Courts at Kandaghat, Shifted to District Courts at Shimla. After five years, shifted to High Court of Himachal Pradesh in Constitutional, Civil, Criminal and Mercantile Law. Represented Corporations, Banks and Insurance Companies besides other Public Sector Undertakings. Was a Member of Bar Council of Himachal Pradesh since 1978 till his elevation and was also member of its Enrolment, Disciplinary, Executive, Advocates Welfare and Legal Aid Committees. Was elected Chairman, Bar Council of Himachal Pradesh on 26th March, 1995 and was also co-opted Member of Disciplinary Committee of the Bar Council of India. Appointed as an Additional Judge of  High Court of Himachal Pradesh at Shimla on November 30, 1995. Transferred to Jammu & Kasmir High Court on 11.12.1997. Appointed as Permanent Judge on 27.01.1999. Transferred to H.P. High Court in June, 2001.
