Hon'ble Mr. Justice Anil Bhalchandra Naik

Was born on October 27, 1943, at Latur. He did his early education at Jath in Sangli district. He matriculated from Shri Ramshri Datale High School, Jath. He is graduate from Dayanand Arts, Science, Commerce College, Latur and obtained B.A.(General) degree in English and Political Science from Marathwada University. After graduation, joined Government Law College, Bombay and obtained BGL and LL.B. degree, enrolled as advocate on September 18, 1970 and joined the chamber of Shri S.P.Kurdukar, who later on became the Judge of Bombay High Court, Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court and ultimately retired as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India. From 1975 to 1979, worked as a part-time Professor of Law in K.C.Law College, Mumbai. Appeared as Assistant Government Pleader and Additional Public Prosecutor in High Court, Mumbai and Bench at Aurangabad from 1980-1985. Handled all types of appellate work in the High Court including writ petition on the Original Side of the High Court. On the formation of the Bench of Mumbai High Court at Aurangabad, shifted to Aurangabad, where handled all types of matters in the High Court including Election Petition. Also appeared as Standing Counsel for Zilla Parishad, Parbhani; CIDCO, Aurangabad; Maharashtra Public Service Commission, from 1986. Appeared as ` A ' Panel counsel for State of Maharashtra in number of matters involving constitutional issues. Important matters in which appeared, are as follows :1) Challenge to formation of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation in 1981;2) Challenge to the elections of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation in 1985 and 1994;3) Dissolution of Nanded Municipal Council and formation of Nanded-Waghala Municipal Corporation;4) Anti-defection matters for Jalgaon Zilla Parishad;5) Challenge to Maharashtra Public Service Commission Examination for CJJD and JMFC, 1989-90;6) Appeared as Special Counsel for MPSC in Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, Bench at Aurangabad. Family background :- Comes from lawyer's family. His grand-father was a renowned lawyer in Jath, District Sangli. His father-in-law, Mr. Justice V.S.Deshpande, retired as the Chief Justice of Bombay High Court. His father was a freedom fighter and retired as Vice President of Dayanand College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Latur.
