Hon'ble Chief Justice Sachchinand Jha - Born on 16-06-1945. Studied at Zila School Muzaffarpur L. S. College, Muzaffarpur, Post Graduation in Economics from Patna University, Patna and completed his M.A. B.L. from Patna Law College, Patna. Enrolled as an Advocate on 15.07.1969 with the Bihar State Bar Council and practised mainly in Criminal, Civil and Constitutional matters. Remained Counsel for many Boards and Corporations. Appointed as Standing Counsel to the Government of Bihar in 1986. Declared as Senior Advocate in January, 1990. Elevated as Judge Patna High Court on 10.07.1990. Elevated as Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir on 04.02.2004 A.N.

Hon'ble Chief Justice Vijay Kumar Jhanji, LL.B. - Born on 22-3-1944. Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh on    15-07-1971 and practised on civil, constitutional and Taxation matters in the High Court of Chandigarh. Appointed as an Additional Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 15-03-1991 and assumed charge as Judge on 08-07-1992. Transferred to Jammu and Kashmir High Court on 02-12-2001. Become Acting Chief Justice on 08-04-2002 and remained so till 15-05-2002 . Again appointed Acting Chief Justice on 05-03-2003 and remained so till 04-02-2004.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Rattan Chand Gandhi, M.A. LL.B. Born on 22-01-1948. Enrolled as Pleader on 10-09-1974 and as an Advocate on 28-02-1981. Practised in the Jammu and Kashmir High Court in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional and Service matters. Appointed as an Additional Judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, on 06-01-1995. Appointed as permanent Judge on 26-11-1997.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Nissar Ahmad Kakru, LL.B. Born on 26-10-1949. Enrolled as a Pleader in August 1975, Vakil 06-02-1979 and as an Advocate on 01-04-1982. Practised in the District & Sessions Courts and other Courts in Baramulla from August 1975 to 1983. From 1984 practised in District Courts and the Jammu and Kashmir High Court in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Service, Labour, Company matters etc. Appointed as an Additional Judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court for a period of two years on 26-11-1997 and as permanent Judge on 20-12-1999.

Hon'ble Sh. Justice Syed Bashir-ud-Din, M.A., LL.B. Born on 23-06-1942. Joined Judicial Service on 17-08-1968. Worked as 2nd   Additional District & Sessions Judge, Jammu and as One Man Forest Authority, Srinagar. Worked as Additional District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar, Anantnag and Budgam. Worked as Additional Registrar Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Srinagar from 24-08-1990 to 08-11-1991, P.O. Labour Court, Srinagar from 14-11-1991 to  03-06-1992, District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar and Budgam from 03-06-1992 to 22-02-1994 and as Registrar, Jammu and Kashmir High Court from 23-02-1994, placed selection grade of District & Sessions Judge on 14-10-1991 and in super time scale of District & Sessions Judge on 15-10-1997. Appointed as an Additional Judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court for a period of two years on 26-11-1997 and as permanent Judge on 30-03-2001.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Sudesh Kumar Gupta, LL.B. Born on 20-08-1943. After graduation from J&K University, passed LL.B. examination from Delhi University in the year 1966. Appointed as Munsiff on 14-08-1968 and promoted as           Sub-Judge on 15-03-1973. Appointed as District & Sessions Judge on 03-10-1983. Posted as Registrar, High Court of J&K on 16-09-1991, placed in the selection Grade District & Sessions Judge on 04-10-1991 and in the Super Time Scale on 08-12-1997. During District & Sessions Judge also served as Special Judge under the Enemies Agent Ordinance for the Whole State. His Lordship has been appointed as Addl. Judge High Court of J&K on 11-06-2001.
