How to become a member of the website in order to access the full reports?
Please go to http://www.supremecourtcaselaw.com/membership_form1.htm and submit the form after filling up complete details. Next, send the membership subscription by demand draft/cheque in favour of "International Law Book Company, Delhi" to our address mentioned in the form. We will send your username and password to access the full cases immediately on receipt of your dd/cheque by e-mail. Please make sure the e-mail address provided by you is correct.
I am a member. How do I login?
On the extreme left that is the first column of the homepage under the Member's area, please click on Premium Members login or Trial Members login or Patrons login as the case maybe. It will take you to the login page which will ask you for your username and password. After you correctly enter the same and submit it, you will see the welcome page which will tell you the number of accesses you have made to the website. Also it will show you links to the Latest cases page and the General Search/Advanced Search page. Please click on the relevant link in order to go to the page you wish to.
I have successfully logged in. How do I open the full report?
In order to open the full report click on the SCCL.COM citation link. For eg. click on 2002 SCCL.COM 286
How do I take a print out of the judgment?
With the judgment page open right click the mouse and select Print from the menu. Alternatively, click on File on the top menu and then select Print.
Make sure that the username and password entered by you is typed correctly. Also see that it is typed in small letters and not caps as the same is case sensitive.
I have forgotten/misplaced my username and password. What should I do?
Send us a mail requesting to resend username and password. Please quote your SCL reference number. In case you do not remember your SCL reference number, please send us your payment and subscription details including full name, address, e-mail id, phone no. and we will e-mail your username and password to you immediately on checking our records. It is advised to save/take a print out of the username-password e-mail for future reference.
I am a Premium Member. The problem is I am not receiving any e-mails of updates to my account?
Please check the e-mail address provided by you to us. Make sure that it is a correct one. Many times the update e-mails sent to members return undelivered due to the following reasons :
If you do not receive update e-mails for some time, please write to us mentioning alternate e-mail id to which the updates can be sent.
Can I know the status of pending cases in the Supreme Court through this website?
No, we do not provide the service of posting the status of pending cases in the Supreme Court.
I am a Premium Member. Can you send full text of cases to my e-mail inbox?
Only the summary of the cases alongwith direct link to the judgment page is sent by e-mail to the Premium Members. It is neither possible nor beneficial to send full text of cases by e-mail as the judgments are too many and very lengthy.
Do you report daily orders of the Supreme Court on your website?
No, daily orders of the Supreme Court are not reported on this website. All the judgments, whether reportable or non-reportable are put on the website.
Are ALL the judgments of the Supreme Court reported on this website?
Yes, ALL the judgments of the Supreme Court of India, whether reportable or non-reportable are posted on the website.
I am not a member of the website, can I search judgments on the website?
The non-members/visitors to the website can search the judgment using the Search/Advanced Search facility and locate the judgments of interest. They can also view the subject index/summary of the case. However, in order to view/download full text of the judgment one needs to be a member of the website. Please click here in order to know about the membership details.
I have sent the membership subscription. How much time will it take to get my username and password?
As soon as we receive your membership subscription dd/cheque, we will send your username and password by e-mail. Please make sure that the e-mail id provided by you is spelt correctly and is a valid one. In case the e-mail id sent by you is found to be incorrect or misspelt, we will send your username and password immediately by courier to the address provided by you.
For using the search facility please take note of the following guidelines.You don't need to fill up all the boxes in the Advanced Search. In fact you should fill up one or two boxes only and you should get the desired result. If you try to fill more boxes you are limiting the search and one mistake made in even one box maybe spelling or typing mistake will give you 0 results. So, please use the search as explained by an example below :
Please try using the search keeping in mind the above guidelines. If you still face any problem, please write to us with an example like what you wanted to search and what all you filled in the boxes and what was the result.
The speed at which you get connected to the internet varies depending on the kind of connection you get. Getting connected at a lower speed will result in slow opening of a page. If the page does not open in maximum one-two minutes, check the speed at which you are connected and try reconnecting to the internet to get a higher speed. You will notice that the pages open up fast during off-peak hours when the internet traffic is less. In order to search fast without wasting time, try connecting during off-peak hours.
I want to see cases of previous months and not only of the last one month. How do I see that?
Go to Advanced Search page, fill in the Duration Search Box the period for which you wish to see the judgments and click on Submit.

Do you accept payment online by credit card for your product/services?
As of now we do not have the facility of receiving the payment electronically that is through credit card.
There may be some problem with the browser you are using. Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the browser for eg. Internet Explorer. You can try using a different computer with latest browser to see if the problem persists.
Can I change the username/password originally allotted to me?
No. There is no provision of changing the username/password once allotted. However, in special cases the username can be changed on request.
Do you cover full text of the judgment and the summary of the case in your database?
Yes, the database covers both the summary and the full text of the cases of the Supreme Court of India.
Your database includes full text of cases from which year onwards?
SupremeCourtCaseLaw.com contains all judgments, whether reportable or non-reportable from August, 2000 onwards, when the site was started till date.
What is the date format of the cases on the website, dd/mm/yy or mm/dd/yy?
The date format used is the standard one i.e. mm/dd/yy.
No, we do not provide such a facility. It may/may not be possible to extend such a facility in future.
How often do you update the website? Is the update daily?
The site is updated daily. Depending on the number of judgments delivered by the Supreme Court the site is updated as often in a day to give you the latest and the fastest reporting.
Yes the judgments downloaded/printed from SupremeCourtCaseLaw.com can be presented in courts. The cases are to be cited using the unique SCCL.COM citation. For eg. 2002 SCCL.COM 286
There is no provision of giving access for one decision/judgment. You need to be a member in order to access one or more of the judgments on the website.
How do I see judgments/cases of one particular month say, November, 2000?

No we do not intend to put up similar services in respect of High Court judgments.
Please use our Search/Advanced Search facility keeping in mind the guidelines given in FAQ 15.
Is it possible to purchase a copy of just one opinion?
No we do not sell copies of judgments/opinions.
Please send the payment by dd only payable at Delhi of US $30 towards Premium Membership or US$10 towards Trial Membership (the subscription is inclusive of handling charges). We will send your username and password by e-mail and activate your membership immediately on receipt of the draft.
I am a Premium Member. Can you send e-mail updates to more than one e-mail address?
The SupremeCourtCaseLaw.com update e-mails are sent to single e-mail address as membership subscription is per user. In case of more than one users please request individual memberships for each of them.
What is the meaning of "per user" in respect of membership subscription?
One user means one person. It means more than one person is not allowed to use the same account.
The membership subscription at SupremeCourtCaseLaw.com is for calendar year only thus membership for current year expires on 31st December of that year. This is irrespective of the month when the membership was taken.
What all are the modes of payment?
The mode of payment is cash/demand draft/cheque/money order in favour of "International Law Book Company, Delhi" on receipt of which we will send your username and password by e-mail to access the site immediately.
Do you have CD of judgments of the Supreme Court?
At present the case laws on Supreme Court Caselaw.com is not available on CD.
