The PFA Act and Rules have been amended and corrected up-to-date and the latest being by notification G.S.R. 606(E), dated 28-8-2009. All the changes have been done at the right places for easy reference. The commodity index is now more exhaustive and it is easy to search productwise. We have seen the food laws are changing and are becoming at par with the International Standards as the new International Numbering System (INS) for Food Additives have been added as per CODEX guidelines. Rule 32 dealing with Packaging and Labelling of Foods has been completely changed and enforced from 19th March, 2009 has also been incorporated in this edition in complete.
